Group Picture in NicaraguaStudy Abroad: Nicaragua
Each year I lead a group of CMC students to study the politics and economics of Nicaragua and Central America. In November 2006, ten CMC students traveled to Nicaragua to study and observe the presidential elections that brought former Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega back to power. In November 2007, another group of CMC students is traveling to Nicaragua to study the impact of globalization and free trade agreements on the poor majority of that country. You can find more information on CMC’s study abroad website.

public meeting in NicaraguaThis year, the students traveling to Nicaragua are also keeping a blog of their travels and experiences: http://cmcnicaragua2007.blogspot.com/

Education: I am pursuing a Ph.D. in International Studies at the University of Denver Graduate School of International Studies. My research interests are in comparative politics, international political economy, and Latin American studies.
